Since every gift comes down from the All-Giver,
How can I choose between the Giver’s gifts
Or say which should come first, the fish or river?

He scatters first, and then calls us to gather,
To lavish on his work our smaller crafts
And sail our praise upstream, back to the Giver.

Morocco Earthquake Kills Thousands

Over 2500 deaths have been confirmed after an earthquake occurred in Morocco. Rescue efforts have been slow due to lack of resources.  We pray for all those affected and devastated by this disaster.

Vardan Tadevosyan’s face on my computer screen is filled with worry, as he speaks to me from his office in Nagorno Karabakh. For the past eight months, he and 120,000 other Armenian Christians have been trapped there, under a siege orchestrated by the dictatorship of Azerbaijan.

The Arabic phrase Allahu Akbar might be literally translated as “God is the greatest.” It is an expression we often hear in the American media devoid of any theological significance and as a trope to justify discrimination against Muslims and Islamic believers in God (Allah). And yet - for many religious Muslims - it is simply a reminder that God is in control and worthy to be praised.

Continuing prayers for Sudan

In violence between two rial military factions that has killed 400 people since April 15 and injured 1000’s, evacuations of non-Sudanese citizens have escalated. We pray for those trying to leave and for those who stay amidst water and power shortages.
